U-Value
The U-Value of the glass refers to how well it prevents heat being radiated outside. The lower the value, the better. To put the values into perspective, single-glazed glass has a typical u-value of 5.6, ordinary double-glazing is between 2.8 and 3.5, double-glazing with low-emissivity glass is around 1.8, and the low-emissivity glass with argon has in the gap is around 1.6.

Double-glazed units take approximately two to three days to order, and all our units come with a manufacturers guarantee. If requested, we can replace the vacuum between the glass panes with a layer of Argon gas, to further facilitate heat management. We can also supply and install triple-glazed units on request for Minehead and the local area.
